1. ALPS Mountaineering King Kong Chair

ALPS Mountaineering King Kong Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 7” x 7″ x 41”

Weight: 13lbs

Material: 600D Polyester Fabric

Weight Capacity: 800lbs

Considered by many as one of the best camping chairs to bring to any campsite is the ALPS Mountaineering King Kong Chair. What set this chair apart from other chairs is its superb comfort and outstanding durability. If you’re willing to spend a couple more bucks to have an enjoyable chair while you’re in the wilderness, this chair should be at the top of your list.

What We Like

Out of all the camping chairs we’ve tested for this article, almost all our happy campers chose the ALPS Mountaineering King Kong as the best camping chair. The paddings on the seat and backrest provide exceptional comfort and are best if you’re planning to rest for a couple of hours.

Like most camping chairs, you can get a little slouchy in the seat. But thanks to the wide space, you can easily move around to find your favorite sitting position. It can easily handle people of any size since it has a weight capacity of 800lbs. Also, we especially love the adjustable armrest, which is not that special but makes it easy for any person of any height to sit comfortably.

Besides, it features a 15-inch, seat which is fairly high for a chair so if most of your family and friends are short-legged, they might feel a little bit out of place. Nevertheless, if it’s alright with you not to let your feet touch the ground, this can still be the best chair for you.

Also, the King Kong comes with multiple features. First, it has two large side pockets that can hold your newspapers or thin magazines. You’ll also find two small mesh cup holders that can easily fit skinny bottles and cans, although it’s not big or wide enough to hold a smartphone.

There’s also a short storage mesh pouch as wide as the chair, located behind the head. We’re not really sure what is it for since you can’t reach at the back of your head unless you’re very tall, but we were able to store some small items.

The material used for this chair is 600D polyester and the frame is composed of ½” powder-coated steel bars, which make this chair extremely reliable and durable, but at the same time, somewhat heavy. If you’re just planning to carry it to your campsite, it’s worth noting that the total weight of this chair is 13lbs. Thus, we suggest you divide the materials amongst yourselves so that it can be a little lighter for everyone.

Setting it up is simple and you won’t need any instruction manual to do it. Like traditional models, all you have to do is attach two legs, and you’re good to go. Taking it back down is as easy as all you need to do is pull the legs apart. Although, we find it a little bit uneasy to pack it in the carry bag because it can be too tight.

Plus, the collapsed chair is still long, three feet to be exact. The good thing though is that ALPS provided two straps to help hikers who prefer to carry it around backpack-style. While we were testing this chair, we tried to wiggle around and rock it back and forth, and didn’t notice any issues in terms of stability.

What We Don’t Like

We’ve mentioned that the King Kong has fully padded backrest and seat, which means that if you encounter some heavy rain, it can hold a lot of water, thus making it heavy. Most hikers, however, don’t leave their camping chairs in the middle of rainfall so we still consider the paddings to be an advantage.

Other than that, we didn’t find any issues with the ALPS Mountaineering King Kong camping chair. If you’re looking for a chair that can withstand wear and tear for many years and still provide you with exceptional comfort, this chair should be one of your top choices.

Camping chairs are very sturdy, versatile, and easy to carry. They are pretty good to use in the mountains, but are camping chairs any good for the beach?

2. Kijaro Dual Lock Portable Camping Chair

Kijaro Dual Lock Portable Camping Chair

Dimensions in Bag: 8″ x 8″ x 45 1/2″

Weight: 9.4lbs

Material: Diamond RipStop Polyester

Weight Capacity: 300lbs

Nowadays, many hikers are looking for a camping chair with back support that still makes them feel comfortable. Unlike traditional chairs that let you slouch, the Kijaro Dual Lock is an affordable option with great support in the back.

What we like about the Kijaro Dual Lock Portable Camping Chair is that it has a spacious width, great armrest, and tall seat height, making it perfect for hikers who prefer to sit up straight rather than slouching.

During our tests, some of our hikers still prefer the traditional model where they can sit back and relax, and almost lie down in the chair itself. As advertised on Kijaro’s website, it offers a “sag-free” experience, which is perfect for people who love to read and relax.

Another thing that we like about this camping chair is that the back panel is created with ventilated mesh, allowing you to sit for long hours without getting any sweat in your back. However, the seat doesn’t have any mesh or pads so it’s like sitting on a flat chair. Although you can adjust the armrest up or down, the back poles prevent it from locking in the position you want it to be and you’ll end up with a horizontal armrest.

Besides, you’ll find cup holders —one bigger than the other— on each armrest and a small side pouch to store your small items, like smartphones or lighters. One of the cup holders can hold a medium-sized tumbler, and the other one can fit a 12oz can.

Additionally, we love the shoulder straps located at the back of the chair, attached to the back poles. This is one of the unique features of the Kijaro Dual Lock since you’ll seldom find this on other camping chairs. This makes it easy to grab the entire chair without having to stuff it back up in the carry bag. Although a carry bag is included, we’ve read some online reviews in which users said they had a hard time packing it back up.

What we don’t like about the Kijaro Dual Lock Portable camping chair is that it’s much longer than its competitors. Indeed, it measures 45 inches when packed up, which is why many hikers prefer to bring this either with shoulder straps or when they have a car.

Plus, it has 600D x 300D ripstop polyester and can handle 300lb. When setting up this chair, you’ll find L-shaped brackets thanks to which you can connect the feet together. However, those are only plastic-coated and narrow, making us doubt it can last several trips. All in all, if you’re looking for a camping chair under $50 and still want excellent back support, the Kijaro should be one of your top choices.

3. Coleman Oversized Quad Chair with Cooler

Coleman Oversized Quad Chair with Cooler

Dimensions in Bag: 37.5” x 7.5” x 7.5”

Weight: 10lbs

Material: Polyester

Weight Capacity: 325lbs

Unlike the Kijaro, the Coleman Oversized Quad Chair is not built for back support, but to allow you to slouch and find a comfortable sitting position with its wide space. Being under $50 with loads of features, you won’t be disappointed if you purchase more than two of these chairs for any of your activities.

What we like about the Oversized Quad is that, unlike the previous product, it’s a traditionally built chair. Since we believe that comfort is subjective, many of our hikers prefer this chair because of its “sagging” nature. Thus, it’s perfect for people who want to sleep out of the tent and hang outside for a while.

This camping chair also has an arm cooler, a cup holder, and a side storage pouch. The cup holder can hold three 12oz of soda cans, which is a big plus compared to other models since you can put large water bottles there. We also love the side storage pouch because it can easily hold multiple items at the same time.

The Oversized Quad is one of the most compact and portable chairs, even if it has multiple features. The only problem we’ve encountered while packing it up is the arm cooler since it’s hard to collapse and can’t easily fit in the storage bag. Other than that, setting up and packing it back up is easy as your only need to pull apart the two supporting legs.

What we don’t like about the Coleman Oversized Quad Chair is that the mesh of the storage bag easily stretches if you let it hold heavy items. With this in mind, we were a little hesitant with the cup holder too since it’s also made of mesh. Overall, if you want a quick, hassle-free, comfortable “slouchy” sitting, this could be the best choice for your next hiking trip.

Best double camping chairs

4. Kelty Low Loveseat Camping Chair

Kelty Low Loveseat Camping Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 34” x 12” x 7”

Weight: 15.5lbs

Material: 600D Polyester

Weight Capacity: 400lbs

One of our favorite double camping chairs is the Kelty Low Loveseat. You’ll find everything you need from comfortable seats to complete features. Durable and featuring a superb carrying case, this camping chair is worth every buck you spend.

What we like about the Kelty Low Loveseat is that it’s low to the ground and very comfortable to sit on. With 600D polyester as its main material and complete paddings on the seat, back, and armrest, you will feel luxurious in this camping chair.

Since it’s made for two people, you’ll be surprised to know that it’s 44 inches wide, which good enough for a kid or a small pet to sit down with you in the middle. But don’t go thinking that you can fit three people in it since the support bars in the middle can be uncomfortable to sit on, even if it can hold 400lbs.

We’ve mentioned that this chair is low to the ground. Indeed, while we were testing it, we found out that it sits close to 7 inches from the ground. This can be a bit uncomfortable to some people, especially in the thigh area, which is why you should consider looking at the Kelty Loveseat, which has a 19-inch gap from the ground.

In addition to the wide space sitting capacity, it has three additional features that you’ll surely love. First is the super wide and large cup holders with built-in dividers. You can easily fit multiple cans and water bottles in these holders without worrying about any spills.

Second is the adjustable armrest. Compared to other camping chairs, where you need to constantly put your arm so that the armrest won’t move around, the Low Loveseat armrest has plastic buckles to lock it in your desired position.

The last feature is the carry case it comes with. It’s wide enough for you to carry multiple chairs inside or woods for your next campfire. Besides, setting it up is very easy and won’t take any longer than 30 seconds. Just pull the two side frames apart and you’re all set! Packing it back up is just as effortless because this chair has a frame-like accordion-style.

Since this chair can accommodate two people, you can expect it to be heavy and bulky. And indeed, with a total weight of 15.5lbs, you won’t be happy to carry it a mile away from your car. But don’t worry, since the shoulder straps have added paddings to bring comfort and since this chair features two easy-grab handles.

Some of our hikers have their own Low Loveseat and can vouch for how durable this camping chair is. Even if you constantly bring it with you on your adventures or let it stay in your backyard for nine months, it can handle the wear and tear.

The only thing that we didn’t like about the Kelty Low Loveseat camping chair is the poor ventilation. Since most of the fabric is polyester, you can’t expect to find any mesh for the seat and backseat, which means there’s no way for the air to touch your back and bum.

5. Trademark Innovations Loveseat Style Double Camping Chair

Trademark Innovations Loveseat Style Double Camping Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 32” x 9” x 6”

Weight: 8lbs

Material: Polyester

Weight Capacity: 485lbs

If you’re looking for a double camping chair where you and your partner can snuggle in together, then the Trademark Innovations Loveseat Style Double camp chair should be at the top of your to-buy list. It’s smaller than other loveseats, low to the ground, comfortable, and very much affordable.

What we like about the Trademark Innovations Loveseat is that it’s perfect for couples who love to be close together, or if you want your kid to sit beside you during a camping or picnic trip. As previously mentioned, it is smaller than other models since it’s narrow enough for two adults.

With its 32” x 9” x 6” dimensions and a weight capacity of 440lbs., two large adults may find it uncomfortable to sit in here. If like our campers, you are 5’5 to 5’8 tall and will not exceed 330lbs. altogether, then this could easily hold two people. But if you’re any larger than that, we suggest that you take a look at the previous product instead.

Another thing that we like about the Trademark Innovations Loveseat is that both sides have their own cup holders, so you won’t need to ask your friend to grab your drink for you. The holder is made from mesh, so it’s easy to clean and doesn’t get dirty easily.

Besides, setting it up is easy, and at 8lbs., this chair is very portable. You can carry it around during your hike, to go on a picnic, at a concert, watch a football game, or just sit in your backyard with some barbecue.

What we don’t like about the Trademark Innovations Loveseat Style Double camping chair is that the shoulder straps on the carry bag don’t have any padding, so we find it difficult to carry it around. Also, we found several complaints when it comes to the durability of the polyester material used for the seat itself.

Overall, if you’re looking for a double camping chair that can hold you and your friend at an affordable price, you should definitely check out this product.

6. BCP Set of 2 Adjustable Steel Mesh Zero Gravity Lounge Chair

BCP Set of 2 Adjustable Steel Mesh Zero Gravity Lounge Chair

Dimensions: 38” x 25” x 6”

Weight: 16.3lbs

Material: Textilene Fabric

Weight Capacity: 250lbs

If you’re looking for a zero-gravity chair that’s comfortable, flexible, and affordable, then read on our review of the BCP Set of 2 Adjustable Steel Mesh Zero Gravity Lounge reclining camp chair. For just under 50 bucks, you can get a durable camping chair that you can bring in any of your trips.

What we like about the BCP Zero Gravity Reclining chair is that it’s flexible enough for you to recline back and fall asleep. It doesn’t recline all the way down, but with its price range, we find it comfortable enough to bring on the beach or a near mountain hike.

The fabric is known to be water- and heat-resistant, making it perfect for beach getaways and cleaning it afterward. It’s similar to mesh, which makes it breathable, but it’s stronger and thicker for durability. The fabric is also attached to elastic cords along with the frame, making it supportive and adaptable to your body.

There’s also a tray and cup holder that’s made of plastic so you can easily bring along your drinks, magazines, smartphone, or anything else that you might need. The good thing about the plastic holders and tray and the elastic cord is that they are all replaceable. You can easily find the materials in hardware stores and watch a YouTube tutorial on how to do replace them.

Additionally, the material used for the frame is lightweight steel, making the product easy to carry around. We suggest that you use an anti-rust spray to cover all the frame, bolts, and screws to ensure that everything last longer, especially if you’re planning to bring your chair to the beach.

Lastly, the headrest can be moved around according to your preference. You can either slide it downward to help support your lower back or position it at the top to better support your head. Although the chair is also well-balanced, although we don’t recommend allowing your grandparents to use it since it can be a little tough for them to go in and out of it.

The only thing that we didn’t like about the BCP Zero Gravity Reclining chair is the reviews of some customers who find it not durable. Indeed, some complained that the cords and fabrics were torn. Other than that, we believe that this is one of the best reclining camp chairs on the market today. Plus, it’s affordable.

7. Nemo Stargaze Recliner Luxury Review

Nemo Stargaze Recliner Luxury Review

Dimensions In Bag: 23.5″ x 6.5″ x 6.5″

Weight: 7lbs 2oz

Material: Nylon Water-Resistant Mesh

Weight Capacity: 300lbs

While we were testing multiple products for this review, we realized that the Nemo Stargaze Recliner camping chair is for hikers who want to experience a luxurious feeling. If you’re looking for a reclining camp chair that allows you to swing like in a hammock chair, then this should be at the top of your list.

What we like about the Stargaze Recliner is that it’s made with a hammock in mind. Thus, you can both recline and swing it at the same time, allowing you to stargaze. Plus, this new version of the Nemo Stargaze Recliner brings you much closer to the ground, with a seat 11.5 inches high.

The material used for the chair is a breathable, water-resistant nylon mesh, which makes it perfect for users who are worried about getting sweaty while lying down. Although it has an adjustable headrest, some of our shorter hikers weren’t able to fully adjust it to their preference so they didn’t use it at all.

Besides, this chair has a C-shape design that somewhat envelops the hiker. This can be comfortable in the start, but most of our male hikers found it too narrow for their broad shoulders and weren’t comfortable if they stayed in it for too long. Also, the padded armrest had an uncomfortable feeling on taller hikers’ elbows.

You’ll also find a side pocket and cup holder attached to the Stargaze Recliner. Although we appreciate that Nemo added these features, we were not entirely satisfied with their location and overall use. Indeed, the cup holders tend to turn sideways, and sometimes spill right into the lap of the user, and the pockets are positioned in such an awkward way that users weren’t even able to reach them.

What we don’t like about the Nemo Stargaze Recliner camp chair is that the seams on the mesh tend to poke our back, especially if we fully extend our recline. Also, it takes a couple of practices to set up this chair quickly, and it takes a lot of your time to put it back up in the carrying case.

Overall, we recommend this reclining camp chair for people with an average height and weight. On the other hand, you may find it difficult to use and lie down comfortably if you’re tall or don’t prefer to be “cuddled” up during your recline.

8. Big Agnes Skyline UL Chair

Big Agnes Skyline UL Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 12″ x 3.5″ x 3.5″

Weight: 1lb 11oz

Material: 66 RipStop and Ultralight 70D Robic Nylon

Weight Capacity: 275lbs

If you’re a minimalist hiker, you would want a portable camping chair that’s lightweight, easy to assemble, and comfortable. The Big Agnes Skyline UL Chair is the answer to all your woes as it has the perfect blend of stability, weight, and comfort that will allow you to go in and out of the chair easily.

What we like about the Skyline UL is it doesn’t have any complicated features, poles, and whatnots. Instead, it has a nice height and deep seat that won’t leave you hanging inside. Out of all the products we’ve reviewed, we believe that it has the best height seat to make you feel comfortable and help you sit in and get out of it.

People who have knee or hip issues will find this seat accessible. Also, it’s perfect for those who are too tired from their hike and would just like to sit down and relax. Although, the backrest is a bit too low from our perspective since taller people may find it difficult to fully rest their back.

This portable camping chair weighs 29 ounces, which is in between the products we’ve reviewed in ultralight and heavy categories. It’s also a bit longer when it’s packed up—17 inches to be exact. Although, it compensates for being only 3.5 inches wide. This makes it ideal to be carried in the side pockets of your backpack.

Besides, the Skyline UL uses the Big Agnes signature hubless poles. All you have to do is connect the poles together and on the side pockets. Everything is color-coded so you don’t need to be an expert to do this. Putting it all back up in the carry bag is also fairly easy.

There’s nothing that we don’t like about the Big Agnes Skyline UL. It is a little more expensive considering it’s a minimalist portable camping chair, but overall, we would always choose this chair if we want a quick getaway in the backcountry.

9. Moon Lence Outdoor Portable Camping Chair

Moon Lence Outdoor Portable Camping Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 13.4” x 4.7” x 4.7”

Weight: 2lbs

Material: 1000D Oxford Fabric

Weight Capacity: 400lbs

If you have a bit of a tight budget but still want a portable camping chair, you should check out the Moon Lence Outdoor Camping Chair. It’s lightweight, comfortable, easy to set up, and inexpensive. Therefore, it’s perfect to use for your quick adventures with your family and friends.

What we like about the Moon Lence is that it’s made of breathable mesh fabric that’s perfect even if you stay in the sun. Although at first, it was very comfortable to use, as we continued to bring it on our adventures, we noticed that the fabric was starting to stretch and the poles were getting loose. We’ll discuss this in a bit.

When it comes to portability, this chair is almost at the top of our list. Only weighing 2 lbs. and having a compact carry bag, you can easily fit this in your camping backpack or at the bottom of your car seat.

Setting the Moon Lence is easy. Generally speaking, there are only two pieces that you need to put together. All of the poles are already connected to the bungee cord, which quickly snaps together. There are also pockets in which you need to insert the poles, but we find them a bit wide, which sometimes prevents the poles from locking.

What we didn’t like about the Moon Lence is that the mesh fabric tends to stretch too easily. In just a couple of trips, we found ourselves closer and closer to the ground. Also, the seams didn’t stretch along with the fabric so it created some pressure points on our back.

You’ll find some “fins” on the feet of the poles, which we thought would help us stay grounded even when we were on soft grounds or sand. But, to our disappointment, we were still sinking into the sand as quickly as with other models.

Other than the stretching of the materials, we were satisfied with the performance of the Moon Lence. With its price, portability, and compactness, you can already enjoy a couple of quick adventures with it.

10. Helinox Chair Zero

Helinox Chair Zero

Dimensions In Bag: 15” x 5” x 4”

Weight: 18oz

Material: Polyester with Aluminum Frame

Weight Capacity: 265lbs

The Helinox Chair Zero is our highest recommended portable camping chair for weight-conscious hikers. If you’re planning a lightweight and quick mountain adventure, this is the only chair that you should buy.

What we like about the Helinox Zero is that it focuses on being an ultra-lightweight and compact camping chair that’s perfect for a backpacking trip. Compared to other models within its weight-range though, this is the most comfortable chair we’ve ever tested.

The seat is well-designed so that your lower back is positioned in a straight and nice way. While we were testing different models, we realized that the game changer for these chairs is the way the seat is designed.

The backseat is a little higher compared to that of other models. This is perfect for average-sized hikers because it’s just within their shoulder blades, but taller hikers may find it uncomfortable since it may stick within their armpits. Also, people with wider hips may also have difficulty sitting for a long period in this chair. Because of this, we recommend the Helinox Zero to average-sized hikers for a quality experience.

Stability-wise, we’ve tried moving around while sitting in this camp chair and we didn’t notice any issues. Since it’s made with lightweight materials, we suggest that you take full care of it to ensure that it lasts long. Also, it’s worth noting that this chair sinks on soft grounds so you should choose a camping ground with a tough and flat surface.

In regards to how easy it is to set up, Helinox has made this chair almost dummy-proof. You’ll find multiple logos in the chair itself. Also, the bras have chosen to rivet the crossbar to the pole hubs, which keeps the poles in place while you’re setting it up. However, the carry bag is a bit narrow so you would need a minute or two to completely pack it back up.

The only downside that we saw to the Helinox Chair Zero is that it’s pricey, especially for its small size. Nevertheless, if you’re willing to spend a couple more bucks for an ultra-lightweight and portable camping chair, this is the model you should look at.

Best camping rocking chair

11. GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Chair

GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Chair

Dimensions Folded: 25″ x 4.9″ x 34.8″

Weight: 12.1lbs

Material: Mesh RipStop Polyester

Weight Capacity: 250lbs

Not all hikers realize that there’s a camping rocking chair booming on the market today. With all the fight with the ultra-lightweight and compact divisions, you can hardly find a hiker that would bring a rocking chair. But if like us, you’re obsessed with the rocking motion, stick around to learn more about the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Chair.

What we like about the Freestyle Rocker is that it’s a great back-support chair that is wide, durable, and easy to set up. First of all, we should let you know that our hikers have different body sizes and heights. Considering their various body types, we were astonished that this rocking chair can hold up to almost everyone in our camp.

The fabric is made from a ripstop polyester mesh, so it’s comfortable and breathable even if you’re within the light of the sun. Also, its 14.2-inch seat height allows everyone to get in and out easily, even those with knee and hip issues. Although this rocking chair doesn’t have a headrest, we soon forgot about this missing feature since the backseat height is comfortable enough to sit back and be upright.

Besides, some of our hikers find that the armrest is a bit narrow, but the padding on this feature has compensated for it. What provides the rocking motion is the spring-loaded shocks, but it’s worth noting that you need to constantly put oil in these shocks to maintain the noiseless, smooth rocking motion.

Although, portability is not the strongest feature of the Freestyle Rocker. Since the setup and packing are done in one smooth move, you just need to either pull or push the sides of the chair to extend or collapse it. You’ll end up with the same depth and height once it’s collapsed.

Additionally, there’s no carry bag for this chair, but you’ll find a carrying handle on the frame. In total, this chair weighs 12.2 lbs., so we don’t recommend you bring this along for your backpack trip or if you have to walk a mile to your camp.

There’s only one thing that we didn’t like about the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Chair, and that is its durability. While testing this product, we left it out in the sun while we were doing our individual chores, and when we came back, we were surprised to see the seams and fabric already had signs of wear and tear. Because of this, we highly recommend that you put this chair in the shadow and not leave it outside.

Best kids camping chair

12. Coleman Kids Quad Chair

Coleman Kids Quad Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 5.1” x 25.6” x 4.7”

Weight: 3.8lbs

Material: 600D Polyester

Weight Capacity: 160lbs

Looking for the best kids’ camping chair can be a bit overwhelming for many parents. You’d be thinking it needs to be comfortable, but the kids must also be able to get in and out of it without anyone’s help. Plus, the chair must be durable, easy to set up, and lightweight. The good news is that you’ll find all these features on the Coleman Kids Quad Chair.

What we like about the Kids Quad chair is that it has a low seat design that allows your kid to get out of the chair or lean forward without worrying about them tripping over. Plus, it has a 10.2-inch sitting height that lets your kid be confident on the chair.

While we were up in the mountains, we let our kid campers try to set up this camping chair alone. We were happy to see that almost everyone was able to do it with little to no supervision. Besides, the steel frame along with the locking system allows the kids to play around without having to worry about the chair snapping back up.

Additionally, you’ll find a hefty cup holder on the side of the armrest, which is convenient if your kid wants their beverage right by their side. While we were testing this product, a couple of kids tried to find different comfortable positions within the chair. Some were soon extending their legs on the armrest and we noticed that the Kids Quad chair didn’t budge nor wiggle at all.

The only thing that we didn’t like about the Coleman Kids Quad Camp Chair is that it may not be suitable if your kid is a bit taller than average. Besides, some users mentioned in online reviews that their kids weren’t comfortable because of the backseat being too low for them. We suggest that you double check the dimensions of the product and make sure that your kid is within the average height for kids 4-7 years of age.

13. Kelsyus Kids Outdoor Canopy Chair

Kelsyus Kids Outdoor Canopy Chair

Dimensions In Bag: 11” x 15” x 32”

Weight: 4.8lbs

Material: Rugged Outdoor Fabric

Weight Capacity: 75lbs

If you’re looking for a lightweight kids’ camping chair that can be carried around by the kids, is comfortable to use, and has a removable canopy, you should let your kid check the Kelsyus Kids Outdoor Canopy Chair.

What we like about the Kids Canopy chair is that it’s comfortable and has a foldable design. Our kid campers were very happy because they were able to bring this chair wherever they went. It can accommodate kids ages 3 to 7, as long as they can move in and out of it without an adult’s help.

You’ll also notice that this chair has padded armrests and an adjustable canopy. While there’s a recommended age for kids to use this, our campers who were 7 years old and above were still able to sit comfortably in this chair. The adjustable canopy is a big plus for this kids’ camping chair because your kid can choose whether to use it or not.

Besides, the frame is made from steel so we’re confident that it’ll not easily be broken. Some of our kid hikers were not careful with this tent, sometimes moving around and getting in and out of the chair constantly. However, we didn’t notice any issue nor were worried that it’d tip over, which is why we believe that it’s a sturdy piece of equipment.

Additional features include snap-lock buckles that hold the chair when folded. Thanks to them, the chair can be carried around like a backpack, which is a great feature considering that your kids can’t constantly call you to help them carry their own camping chair.

Overall, we didn’t find any issue with the Kelsyus Kids Outdoor Canopy Chair and recommend this to parents who are looking for a reliable and comfortable chair for their children.

Choosing the Best Camping Chair for You

Whether you’re looking for your first camping chair or the one that will suit your hiking preferences, you must know what features to look out for. Many hikers tend to buy the first chair that they see, thinking that all camping chairs are the same. But if you’re like us and want to have the best experience, then keep reading.

Factors to Consider When Buying a Camping Chair

If you’re torn between all the camping chairs available on the market, you can break down the options by considering the following factors.

  1. Materials – Knowing what type of fabric and frame are used for a camping chair will somehow let you know how much weight it can handle and whether it’s breathable or not. Some chairs may be completely made of mesh, which is breathable but can stretch over time.
  1. Size and Height – Numerous chairs can handle more than one person. Bigger camping chairs are usually best for people who have above-average sizes, or those planning to sit around with their partner beside them.
  1. Capacity – Like the size and height, it’s important to know the maximum weight capacity of the chair that you’re going to buy. Although, sometimes, the capacity is overestimated by the manufacturer so you should check out reviews from previous users.
  1. Extras – High-end camping chairs tend to have more features like footrests, headrests, arm pad coolers, and more. Some chairs are perfect for minimalist hikers. If you’re going to buy a chair, make sure that all the features that you’re looking for are included in it.
  1. Design Preferences – There are numerous camping chair designs. From two-legged to three-legged, classic, glider, rocker chair, and more, you can surely find an amazing array of designs if you look at the entire roster of chairs. If you find a model that you think might suit you, we suggest that you try it out first to figure out if you will be comfortable seating in it for long hours.

Conclusion

With all the different camping chairs available on the market today, it can be difficult to choose the best one for yourself. By knowing your preferences in chairs, your budget, and the hiking environment, you can narrow down your choices and make sure that you get the best one for you.

The products that we’ve mentioned above are considered by many as the best in their respective categories and are our seasoned hikers’ favorite. With this in mind, we hope that you find the perfect camping chair that will suit your hiking activities and exceed your expectations.
